About Lazarex
CHANGING THE FACE OF CANCER, ONE LIFE AT A TIME
Mission
We revitalize cancer patients and their families with promising treatments, compassionate care, and comprehensive wellness products and services.
History
Lazarex Cancer Foundation was originally formed by the lead cancer researchers, Dr. Frederick Hall and Dr. Erlinda Gordon, of Epeius Biotechnologies. At that time, the intent was to provide additional research funds for Rexin-G, their lead treatment for solid mass primary and metatastic cancer.
In 2006, Drs. Hall and Gordon asked Dana Dornsife to be the president of the Foundation and to launch it as a nonprofit organization. Their original introduction was through Mike Miller, Dana’s brother-in-law, who had been successfully treated with Rexin-G in 2004.
Later in 2006, Lazarex officially gained its 501(c)(3) status. Fundraising began in March 2007, and we held our first fundraiser, Celebrating Hope, in July. That night, nearly 300 people came to Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, California, and together raised more than $300,000 to support our mission.

Where We Are Now
Lazarex Cancer Foundation, a volunteer-run organization, creates a lifeline—a bridge to hope, life and dignity—for cancer patients and their families. We support cancer patients who have been failed by conventional medicine by providing financial assistance for, and access to, new and promising treatments, such as Rexin-G. Together, we can change the face of cancer, one life at a time.
• Rexin-G is the first promising treatment we have endorsed
– Rexin-G is approved in the Philippines for all solid mass tumors and in Phase 1/2
trials here in the United States for sarcoma, pancreatic and breast cancers. |
• We’re actually treating patients today, not just searching for tomorrow’s cure
– We have had stunning success in giving scores of patients a much higher quality of life. Read the inspiring stories of our patients and their victories.
• We’re nimble
– People’s lives are at stake, so we move quickly to help patients.
Together We Can Change the Face of Cancer, One Life at a Time |
You can help us give the ultimate gift of life and hope to as many patients as possible with your support. Your gifts can also help us realize our long-term dream of developing comprehensive cancer centers across the country where cancer patients and their families can receive promising treatments, such as Rexin-G, and have easy access to the wellness products and services they need. Together, we can change the face of cancer.
