BOSTON FUNDRAISER FOR LAZAREX FOUNDATION
Honoring the Life of Chris Wree
|
The July 12th benefit in honor of Chris Wree was a great success, and a source of inspiration for many.
"There was not one person who didn't walk away from this event feeling a sense of peace, hope and encouragement
for the future," said Rose Lavallee, Chris' mom and the event organizer. "As several of Chris' caregivers hugged me good-bye, they
told me that I had opened an incredible 'new door of hope.'"
Lazarex President Dana Dornsife and Chairwoman of the Board Susan Sappington were on hand to show support and
to speak of the impact that Chris had and his incredible show of courage during his fight against cancer. "This meant a great deal to
my family and to me. The presentation in honor of Chris and to other cancer patients was wonderful, uplifting and extremely thoughtful
in respect to my family, especially to my other children, who are still grieving the loss of their brother," said Rose.
So many people contributed to this event - over 100 local businesses donated services or products. The evening was
filled with delicious food, gracious service and fun entertainment for every age. It was quite an event! Rose plans to take a well-deserved
rest before starting again, working to change the face of cancer, one life at a time.
